Mirand said that while LED manufacturers' product selectors or simple parametric simulators can be helpful, they are insufficient for full system optimization. Next-generation tools will need to be application-oriented, simulate a system-level solution, support options from multiple manufacturers, and address mainstream as well as emerging applications such as horticulture and UV.
