Document-Based Processes Are Outsourced to the Cloud with xSuite for SAP
The new Version 5.2.1 is strategically directed towards S/4HANA and Fiori. More and more common document-based processes are outsourced to the cloud.
Ahrensburg, Germany, October 31, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Specializing in ECM, workflows, and secure archiving, the WMD Group is strategically evolving its xSuite for SAP to accommodate S/4HANA, HANA Database, Fiori Apps, and cloud scenarios. This direction continues in the new, recently launched Version 5.2.1. New features have been implemented for the classic SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, and xFlow Web.
The xSuite for SAP 5.2.1 includes the integrational component xFlow Interface and modules for invoice processing (xFlow Invoice), order management (xFlow Orders), order confirmation (xFlow Order Confirmation) and procurement (xFlow Procurement). WMD regularly secures certification of its software to guarantee its customers consistent integration with SAP systems. The xSuite product line was first certified for SAP ERP and S/4HANA in May, 2018. With this certification, WMD both covers the needs of customers that have not switched to the new generation and invests product development in front-burner SAP technologies.
In Version 5.2.1, the Fiori package included in previous releases has been extended with a large number of tiles: Inbox (open tasks), Feeder (procurement request creation), goods receipt (posting of goods receipts), Invoice Overview (overview of invoice workflows), PO overview (overview of procurement workflows), and Sales Document Overview (overview sales-order workflows). The functions are also available in the xFlow web client for use by customers that do not use Fiori.
WMD has developed a range of features at the concrete request of customers. According to Matthias Lemenkühler, Managing Director at WMD, "One of the guiding principles of our product development is to think from the perspective of the customer. We go through the customer's processes and simplify them or integrate more flexibility to really optimize the work processes. We also conduct customer surveys on a regular basis in order to gather information and ideas for the next releases." In the current Version 5.2.1 as well, features fulfilling customer requirements have been integrated — an Excel-upload option in the Invoice Monitor, account-assignment templates, and preliminary line items for invoice approval with GR-based invoice verification. As to the GR-based invoice verification, when the user sees that goods receipt has not yet been posted and he or she can start a workflow for it straight from invoice approval. The solution xFlow Procurement also provides new functionality allowing existing procurement requisitions to be copied and used as templates for new requisitions.
Alongside its implementation of Fiori apps in the SAP-integrated product line xSuite for SAP, WMD's technological focus clearly lies on the future-oriented cloud computing technology. Accordingly, the xSuite portfolio is being extended with more applications and positioned as a cloud service. This intensified development concentrates on the products for mailroom, data capture, and archiving.
