Centralia, WA, October 30, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The UltraGroove™ family of retractable tonneaus from Pace Edwards, renowned for enabling active owners to access the truck bed even with fully loaded-cargo racks above the tonneau, now allows pickup owners to haul even larger items. A new elevated rack system – the EL200 – provides a secure place above the height of the cab for hauling large, cumbersome items for work or for play.
On display for the first time at this year’s SEMA trade show (LVCC, South Hall, Upper Level, booth #35039), the EL200 system can carry up to 200 pounds of large cargo. The EL200 includes four elevated risers by Pace Edwards and two Thule-made bars. Simply insert the feet of the risers into the built-in UltraGroove rail extension system (RES™) and attach the bars. Pace Edwards’ new rack system works with any UltraGroove tonneau – the UltraGroove, UltraGroove Metal, and UltraGroove Electric.
Recreational users can securely carry bulky items, such as kayaks, canoes, standup paddleboards, and surfboards. Commercial users can haul up to 200 pounds of ladders, lumber, and other materials.
New Smartphone App Coming Soon
Pace Edwards is also making opening and closing of its electric tonneaus more convenient with the introduction of a new smartphone app – the Smart Retract Remote. The new Apple- and Android-compatible app allows owners of Pace Edwards tonneaus that can be operated remotely – the UltraGroove Electric, Bedlocker, and Retractable Utility Bed Cover (RUBC) – to open and close the cover with a tap on a smartphone. The Smart Retract Remote app will be available for download at a date to be announced.
