SBBO, IBC Present Two-Day Commercial Loan Documentation Workshop
The Independent Bankers of Colorado and Shapiro Bieging Barber Otteson present a two-day intermediate commercial loan documentation workshop November 7 and 8 in Denver. The workshop is tailored towards those who are involved in the management and/or functional-level responsibilities for commercial loan documentation, lending decisions, compliance, and loan review. Individuals with lending, loan closing, loan documentation, and training responsibilities will benefit from this program.
Denver, CO, November 02, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Independent Bankers of Colorado and Shapiro Bieging Barber Otteson will present a two-day intermediate commercial loan documentation workshop, November 7 and 8, at SBBO’s offices in the Denver Tech Center: 7979 E. Tufts Avenue, Denver, CO 80237. The workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days and the fee includes workshop materials, continental breakfast, lunch, and beverages.
The workshop is tailored towards those who are involved in the management and/or functional-level responsibilities for commercial loan documentation, lending decisions, compliance, and loan review. Individuals with lending, loan closing, loan documentation, and training responsibilities will benefit from this program.
The workshop will focus on proper loan structuring and documentation techniques for commercial, real estate, construction, and agricultural loans.
Key topics will include:
- Properly structuring the loan
- Key due diligence items
- The meaning and negotiation of key loan document provisions
- Properly searching and perfecting personal property and agricultural liens
- Considerations for loan renewals and modifications
- Default issues in the context of loan documents
- Understanding and financing real estate, including:

-- Key issues in construction financing
-- Title insurance and survey review
SBBO’s Insurance Practice Group will also present important information about understanding and reviewing insurance.
