Toll Brothers Team Rides to Help Cure Diabetes
Tour de Cure event raised more than $800,000 for the American Diabetes Association.
Parker, CO, November 02, 2018 --(PR.com)-- A team of 28 riders, walkers and runners from Toll Brothers and Parker Adventist Hospital completed the recent Tour de Cure Colorado and raised more than $3,700 for the American Diabetes Association in cash and $9,000 in donated EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) services.
The Tour de Cure event attracted more than 110 teams and nearly 1,300 riders who solicited donations before the event—raising more than $800,000 for diabetes awareness.
“Coloradans are increasingly feeling the effects of diabetes as more than 400,000 suffer from the disease, and an additional 1.3 million more have prediabetes,” said Mark Bailey, Toll Brothers Colorado Division President. “The donations to our team will help the American Diabetes Association provide community-based education programs and fund critical research for a cure.”
The Tour de Cure Colorado is an event to raise funds for education, programs, research and advocacy and to recognize, highlight and empower those living every day with diabetes while raising awareness surrounding the disease. Tour de Cure Colorado is not a race, but has routes designed for everyone: walkers, runners, occasional riders, families and experienced cyclists.
