Cambridge, MA, March 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Local resident and professional leadership coach Kathy Ball-Toncic is working diligently to help young women prepare to navigate college life, make a positive impact in the world and lead fulfilled lives.

Ball-Toncic and her business partner, Coby Kozlowski, of Groton, MA, have co-founded The Next Big Thing (www.seniorgirlsrule.com), a four day experiential workshop for young women graduating high-school. The workshop will be held in the Berkshires at the beautiful Nine Mountain Resort the third week in June.

”We believe that young people are natural leaders and it is our priority to create an environment that fosters communication and personal growth so that they can become leaders and influence change,” says Ball-Toncic. “Our mission is to awaken young women entering college to what it means to live a sustainable, healthy life "on purpose" with integrity and vision.”

“This program is an educational alternative to the classroom environment,” says Kozlowski. “We will be making learning real, active, open and experiential. During these four days, students will begin to explore who they really are, their body, mind, and spirit – and how that correlates to being an authentic leader, no matter what role they’re in.”

Students will leave the retreat with specific tools enabling them to make grounded decisions including connections with a community of similarly empowered young leaders. Already, The Next Big Thing is receiving high praise.

"Wow - the workshop looks amazing,” says Erica Dawson, Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Yale School of Management. “I wish I had had that when I was that age - it might have made all the difference."

Students can get more information and register for The Next Big Thing by visiting www.seniorgirls.com. Ball-Toncic and Kozlowski believe strongly that this program should be accessible to all young women, so they have created a scholarship fund that already has enough money to fund two students who may not be able to otherwise afford the program.
