Niantic, CT, November 08, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Scores of dedicated volunteers are digging out their holiday garb for the 73rd Jack Frost Bazaar at Niantic Community Church. Volunteers’ holiday headgear includes antlers, elves and Santa hats designed to up the festive vibe for all who attend on Saturday, November 10 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. In addition, Mrs. Santa is busy practicing her smile so she will be ready for photos with the kids.
For many, this is the place to begin their holiday shopping and has been for a number of years. “What motivates me to volunteer year after year is the coming together of our local community and our church family," said church historian and Attic Treasures co-chair, Liz Kuchta."There’s no age limit for helping out and finding a niche at the fair. We enjoy welcoming returning and new shoppers and seeing the anticipation on their faces as they begin their search for bargains and special gifts.”
A good starting point for shoppers is the main level of the church loaded with Christmas decorations, jewelry, Vera Bradley and Coach Handbags (gently used), handmade items, attic treasures, tools, sporting goods and an alternative marketplace with fair trade items. Toy shoppers should head to the Toy Tent, located outside the building (weather permitting). For those looking for a pre-holiday meal, stay and enjoy a traditional turkey luncheon, served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., or take one home. And, don’t forget to stop by the Cookie Cottage for some sweet treats.
