GACYE Annual Fundraiser

Atlanta, GA, November 20, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Did you know that there are over 3,300 homeless youth in the Atlanta metropolitan area? This Annual Fundraiser event is a way to reach out to the community and bring awareness to the state of youth homelessness in our area. The Georgia Center for Youth Excellence has an emergency shelter which provides short-term youth housing and a transitional living shelter which provides longer-term housing at no cost to youth or their families. Through events like this and funding from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Family Youth Services Bureau, the Georgia Center for Youth Excellence can provide youth and their families with counseling, family reunification, education, employment, case management, mentoring services and much more. It is through these services that youth no longer see the value of living on the streets and are given a better understanding of stabilized housing and the need to become productive members of their community.
