St. Germaine Children’s Charity Hosts 35th Annual Silver Tea

San Diego, CA, November 29, 2018 --(PR.com)-- On Tuesday, December 4, 2018 St. Germaine Children’s Charity will host its 35th annual Silver Tea at a private estate in the La Jolla. The Silver Tea is St. Germaine’s signature fund raising event. Guests will enjoy festive decor, tea sandwiches, desserts, refreshments and, of course, tea. Proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will be donated to local child abuse prevention and treatment programs through the St. Germaine Grants Program.

Since 1984, through grants and in-kind gifts, St. Germaine has awarded more than $4.5 million to children and families in San Diego. In 2017, the charity awarded $150,000, through their grants program, to 11 local agencies: Angels Foster Family Network, Casa de Amparo, Children’s Legal Services of San Diego, Crisis House, Center for Community Solutions, Home Start, Inc., Kids’ Turn, South Bay Community Services, Armed Services YMCA, SAY San Diego and Walden Family Services. Representatives of these grant recipient agencies will be present at the Silver Tea to meet and talk with guests about their work.

Highlights of this year’s tea include musical performances by Leading Note Studios of Encinitas. Tabletop trees and wreaths for the silent auction have been decorated and donated by local businesses and the grant recipient agencies. Other exciting auction additions include a wine tree, a restaurant board and buy it now opportunities on a "Be A Star" holiday tree.
