McAllen, TX, December 01, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Laura Warren’s career has been defined by drive, ambition and passion. Having fostered an early love of architecture, she sought out her break into the industry at the age of just sixteen, having been encouraged by her father to take action in order to achieve her dreams. She knocked on the door of a local engineer and asked him for a job - and to their mutual amazement, he obliged.
Her formal education in the trade began in 1987, when she enrolled with Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez in her home country of Mexico and obtained her bachelor’s degree in architecture and building science in 1992. During her time at the university, she was active within the student body, and served as President of the student council for the academic year '88-'89.
Upon completion of her studies, Laura went to work for Giattina Fisher Ayccock in Birmingham Alabama as a project manager and Intern. While in Alabama, she worked in Full Hospital, Medical research projects as well as high-rise development projects. When she arrived in Texas, she worked as International Project Manager for TAG International, an architectural firm based in Austin, Texas, Laura lent her skills to the group before moving on to a role as an Internationally Registered Architect/Project Manager for Drewry Martin Inc. performing high- profile International projects for Large Developers such as Hunt, Cantu Construction and Development Co. and Hines
Having spent over a decade gaining experience with leading architecture companies and after the persistence of her clients, Laura decided in 2004 to take the plunge and establish her own firm, The Warren Group Architects Inc. The organization’s website explains, “Since 2004, The Warren Group opened its doors with a commitment to provide comprehensive architectural services to include: master planning, site finding, site design, programming, international project management, building and site assessments, and sustainable LEED Certified design and interiors. A team formed of strong individuals with a broad international experience provides us the creative ability in problem solving and project delivery in a fast growing, multicultural environment. The TWG team believes in long term relationships, earned through team-based ideology. We become an integral part of your team and help deliver your project to its completion from the early planning stages and even after the project's completion through post-construction services.”
Although the company is particularly specialized in medical and heavy Industrial architecture, the skillsets involved are versatile, and Laura takes pride in the fact that her work revolves around the needs of the client, from style to purpose, and that functionality that meets all her client’s needs. The company has been behind several high-profile multi-million-dollar developments, including: BSL-2 Medical and Clinical Research Center Facilities, South Texas College Alumni Center and Career Center City Pharr Aquatic Center, Hidalgo County Courthouse and the expansion of McAllen International Airport.
