Skrumble Network Announces Much Anticipated TestNet, LUNA
Communication-centric blockchain focusing on decentralized P2P connections announces release of Private Alpha TestNet reaching over 3,000 TPS.
Toronto, Canada, December 18, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Skrumble Network (SKM), a communication-centric public blockchain that creates secure and private connections for communication and financial transactions, today announced the launch of their TestNet, LUNA, along with releasing information that they’ve reached over 3,000 TPS (transactions-per-second) testing between 6 and 32 nodes and have reached under 5 seconds for consensus time.
Skrumble Network’s mission has always been to democratize communication through leveraging blockchain and a network of community-owned decentralized servers to ensure data ownership and user privacy. This week, we witnessed them making a huge step towards achieving their goal: decentralization. Decentralization, in essence, means that a network is built with no single entity who is in control of it, meaning no one else owns your data. Applying decentralization to global communication has serious implications like no government surveillance, no third-party ownership and no data hacking or manipulation.
Ally – the first dApp built on the Skrumble Network public chain (PoA-Proof of Authority) and the first dApp of its kind, a multi-purpose social media application that empowers users to communicate freely, anonymously and securely, successfully launched and now has over 150,000 users in just a few months. The app is currently available for iOS and Android devices via Google Play and Apple Store and will be fully decentralized by the end of 2018.
“Launching our LUNA TestNet is a really big deal to our entire team,” says Michael Dabydeen, Lead Developer of Skrumble Network. “This milestone reflects significant traction of the entire project and stands for our team’s hard work. We’re already working on scheduling some code reviews, hackathons and will be doing a peer review with the CTO of Aion, Jin (Jinius Tu).”
Some key features also being released with the LUNA TestNet:
- Monocle: A block explorer giving an in-depth look into the live transactions and blocks as they’re created: https://monocle.skrumble.network/
- Cerebro: A blockchain visualizer showing live the block times and TPS of the LUNA TestNet: https://skrumblenetwork.github.io/cerebro/
- GitHub page: https://github.com/skrumblenetwork
Other upcoming key dates:
- Ally fully decentralized by end of 2018
- Decentralized File Storage by end of 2018
- MainNet Launch Q1 2019
