Texas Trust Credit Union Gives $5,000 to Toys for Tots
Arlington, TX, December 12, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Texas Trust Credit Union continued its tradition of enthusiastic participation in the annual Toys for Tots drive held at the Mansfield ISD Performing Arts Center. The credit union delivered a busload of toys in its restored 1956 school bus and made a $5,000 donation.
This is the seventh year Texas Trust has played a major role in the event sponsored by local news station Fox 4. Each year, Texas Trust has served as a collection point for toys, which are donated by its members and employees. Over the course of its participation in Toys for Tots, Texas Trust has donated $35,000 and thousands of toys to the organization.
Texas Trust also sponsored a family area at the event where children could make “magic reindeer food” to be sprinkled on their lawn to help guide Santa’s reindeer to their home on Christmas Eve. The event also included a mascot race featuring the high school mascots from each of Mansfield’s senior high schools as well as Texas Trust’s mascot, Cash the Eagle.
Jim Minge, president and CEO at Texas Trust, along with a dozen employees, presented the toys and $5,000 check to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
Following the presentation, Minge said, “We are so happy we were able to help make Toys for Tots a success again this year. It is so important that each child has a gift to open on Christmas day.”
