Intercultural Spanish 1 Now Available for Middle School
Freeport, ME, December 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Wayside Publishing has just released its groundbreaking Spanish language program EntreCulturas: Communicate, Explore, and Connect Across Cultures in a new, special edition for middle schools and for schools that use non-traditional scheduling. EntreCulturas 1A (novice-low to novice-mid) and EntreCulturas 1B (novice-mid to novice-high) allow greater flexibility for classrooms to complete the first year of Spanish over a longer period of time. The topics, resources, and themes are highly relevant and appropriate for middle school students and an overlapping unit between the two editions allows for continuity and makes reviewing existing knowledge seamless.

EntreCulturas 1A and 1B are a part of a proficiency-driven Spanish series also available for level 2 and 3 learners (novice-high to intermediate-mid) and focus on teaching intercultural communicative competence with features like can-do statements alongside activities, student portfolios, and authentic resources.
EntreCulturas is aligned with the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages, ACTFLs 5 C’s, and introduces AP® and IB themes starting at the novice level.
The EntreCulturas Learning Site includes Explorer, a digital course that integrates the activities and resources found in the textbooks, and FlexText, the online version of the textbook. Teachers and students get access to Learning Strategies videos, authentic video blogs from Spanish-speaking teens, and student portfolios where learners can upload evidence of their skills.
EntreCulturas 1A and 1B are available to sample digitally or for purchase in hardcover and FlexText online texbook. The student books are available now with the Teacher Edition coming soon.
