When Mann was asked by EEW Magazine’s Editor-In-Chief, Dianna Hobbs what is was like to get her first major movie role she was initially lost for words. “I’m excited and nervous all rolled into one,” said the actress who plays Cora, the lovable daughter of one of the movie’s central characters, Mr. Brown. According to Mann, she didn’t initially want to be an actress, but Tyler Perry—the playwright, actor, film director, and creator of one of America’s funniest Grandmas, Madea—convinced her to say yes.
As Mann tours across America filling the recurring role of Cora in Tyler Perry’s hugely popular stage plays, her star has been steadily rising. “In early February, I ran across her story,” says Dianna Hobbs, also Vice President of Hobbs Ministries, an International Christian Ghostwriting and copywriting firm, “and I was moved by her struggle and her tenacity.”
Mann grew up in a single-parent household, and is the youngest of 14 children. She struggled to finish High School and constantly battled through a highly contentious relationship with her Step Father. Remarkably, Mann is the only one of her siblings to finish High School and move on toward career success.
The exclusive details of her story will be revealed in her one-one-one interview with Dianna Hobbs in the April Issue of EEW Magazine.
