Raleigh, NC, March 20, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Lisa Roberts, president and CEO of Gynecology and Laparoscopic Surgeons, PC (www.glsi.info), has announced that Dr. Tammy Hilbert has joined the practice as a specialist in advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy techniques. Dr. Hilbert has extensive experience with minimally invasive surgical techniques to correct pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence which aid in faster recovery, shorter hospital stay and less postoperative pain.
Dr. Hilbert received her undergraduate degree in zoology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and earned her doctor of medicine degree in 1999 from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She was the recipient of the 2001 and 2002 Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) Excellence Award and she completed her residency at St. Vincent Hospitals and Health Services in Indianapolis, Ind. in 2003. Dr. Barbee attended medical school at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, where she also received a master’s degree in public health. She completed her OB/GYN residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell in New York City.
