Haley Marguerite and Trimark Press Team Up Again to Send Charlie on a New Adventure

Deerfield Beach, FL, January 04, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Most kids go through different stages when asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” But not Haley Marguerite. She’s been thinking of writing her own book since she was 12, when she first dreamed up Charlie. Her dream came true in 2016 when she teamed up with Trimark Press to release "Charlie Takes an Adventure." The titular penguin, get this, hates the cold and decides to take a trip to sunny Florida. After his many experiences he realizes there’s no place like home and returns to Antarctica. The book has been a success, with multiple printings, as the adventurous penguin resonated with kids. But most importantly, Marguerite put her everything into making sure people knew about Charlie.

Marguerite dedicated the last two years to making sure Charlie was a success with constant traveling to farmer’s markets, fairs, and school readings. She’s experienced some great highs, like partnering up with the Miami Seaquarium and developing a line of Charlie merchandise (posters, necklaces, and a plush Charlie).

But these successes weren’t enough for Marguerite as she’s gone on to write a sequel. This time Charlie is ready to explore more of the United States. Intent on learning more about pilgrims, baseball and chowdah, Charlie heads to... Massachusetts. Massachusetts holds a special place for Marguerite, it’s where she was born, so it was a natural progression for Charlie’s next journey. Locals will get a kick out of seeing Charlie in spots like Kelly’s and Fenway Park, while kids all over the states will get to learn about these beloved landmarks.

Marguerite envisions at least 50 books in the series, with Charlie visiting every state and helping kids learn about the interesting traits each one holds. “Maybe eventually Charlie will go international, but the U.S. is big enough as it is for now,” laughs Marguerite when asked about future books. A third installment is already in the works, as neither Charlie nor Marguerite have plans of stopping anytime soon.
