Lucina Health CEO Nominated for Prestigious 2019 Innovation Award
The Health Care Heroes award recognizes value in lowering the United State pre-term birth rate.
Louisville, KY, January 08, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Lucina Health, the leading women’s maternity analytics platform, is pleased to announce its CEO, Kevin Bramer has been named a finalist for Louisville Business First’s Health Care Heroes awards.
The business publication’s Health Care Heroes program started in 2017 in order to recognize those who have made a significant impact in the field of health care. After accepting nominations, a team from Louisville Business First reviewed “a record-breaking number of applications this year to select those professionals who stood out from their peers.”
Mr. Bramer is a finalist in the Innovation category for his work in reducing preterm birth, a national public health priority. Lucina Health helps innovative health plans implement strategies that identify at-risk mothers earlier during pregnancy. That identification combined with Lucina’s groundbreaking risk-stratification helps care managers reach out to the patients quickly and includes personal care plans proven to reduce preterm birth rates.
Lucina Health was able to identify 85% of pregnant mothers within the first two trimesters for Kentucky’s Passport Health Plan. The health plan states a 13-percent reduction in early deliveries within the first six months of using the platform.
“This honor is a direct result of the great work being done by our team at Lucina Health. It is also great news for moms and babies as it shines a light on the crisis of preterm birth and maternal mortality,” said Bramer.
Bramer has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare management including more than two decades in healthcare entrepreneurship. He is responsible for Lucina’s mission and vision, setting strategic goals, inspiring team members, and serving as liaison with the Lucina Health Board of Directors. Bramer’s duties also include day-to-day oversight of the technological, clinical, and financial segments of the organization.
Winners for the Health Care Heroes will be announced by Louisville Business First on February 19, 2019.
