Golf Galaxy Golf Tour Hires New Director of Media Relations

Eden Prarie, MN, March 20, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Golf Connect, the management company and promoter of the Golf Galaxy Golf Tour is proud to announce the appointment of Tony Vaught as Director of Media Relations for the Tour.

Vaught, who is also a Golf Galaxy Golf Tour Local Director in San Antonio, TX will act as the publc relations liaison between local / national media affiliates and the 50 other Tour Directors, as well as the National Tour Office.

Vaught has been involved with golf for more than 30 years. He is a member of the Texas Golf Writer's Association, as well as being a former Advisory Board Member of the PGA Tour's Valero Texas Open. In addition, Vaught is part of a group of Founding Members of the Golf Rewards Network, Central Texas representative for Basic Golf Co. LLC, and serves as USGA Handicap Chairman for the Golf Galaxy Golf Club Austin/San Antonio.
