Attorney & Privacy Expert Mari J. Frank to Present Continuing Legal Education Seminar for Legal Document Assistants (LDAs): One Hour of CLE Credit Will be Awarded
Orange, CA, March 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Alliance of Legal Document Assistant Professionals (ALDAP) is pleased to announce that renowned privacy expert Mari J. Frank, Esq. will present “Protecting You and Your Litigant’s Privacy: Are You Exposing Secrets and Confidences?” on Wednesday, April 2 at 12:00 p.m. at the Lamoreaux Justice Center.
Attorney Frank is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), and the creator of The Identity Theft Survival Kit, the audio cassette series Identity Theft Prevention and Survival, co-author of Privacy Piracy (with Beth Givens), and the author of two new books published by Porpoise Press (January 2005): From Victim to Victor: A Step by Step Guide for Ending the Nightmare of Identity Theft (2nd Edition, with CD) and Safeguard Your Identity: Protect yourself with a Personal Privacy Audit.
A former victim of identity theft herself, Attorney Frank has testified many times on privacy and identity theft issues in the California legislature and in the US Congress. In May 1999, she was summoned to the White House to a press conference with President Clinton to speak on Consumer Privacy. Her speech was broadcast on C-SPAN TV. Her 90 minute PBS Television special, “Identity Theft: Protecting Yourself in the Information Age,” has aired nationwide.
This extraordinary seminar is presented as part of the ongoing LDA education series hosted by Richard G. Vogl, Commissioner of the Orange County Superior Court. Registration is free to all registered LDAs. One hour of continuing legal education (CLE) credit will be awarded to all participants.
