Capital Realty Solutions Negotiates $3.2 Million Sale of Landmark Mission Styled San Fernando Elks Club
San Fernando, CA, January 17, 2019 --(PR.com)-- A landmark, California Mission-styled Elks Lodge building in San Fernando, CA, which is among the Elks’ oldest facilities in the San Fernando Valley, has just sold for $3.2 million, announces Ash Joshi, principal of Capital Realty Solutions, Inc.
Originally built in 1937, the 20,680 square-foot distinctive Elks Club building features a mission styled building and includes nine parcels of land, measuring approximately 61,325 square-feet. Opened after five years of construction by Elks Club volunteers, the San Fernando Elks Lodge was originally erected featuring a large central courtyard ringed by distinctive archways reflecting the nearby San Fernando Mission. Since then the courtyard was enclosed, while the property was expanded over the years and retrofitted following the 1994 earthquake.
Ash Joshi of Sherman Oaks Calif-based Capital Realty Solutions Inc represented the seller, Mayfair Investment Co LLC. Global Real Estate Inc represented the Buyer, which will occupy a portion of the property for their security business, in conjunction with the San Fernando Elks Lodge who will continue to remain in place as a long-standing anchor tenant.
“The property is perfectly suited to the new Buyer, who plans to utilize the building for the headquarters of their family business. The fact that the Elks will continue as tenants was a great attraction for this Buyer. The site is zoned C1, which will allow the Buyer to make use of the building for office space and benefit from the very generous parking provisions.”
The Elks are also well known for ongoing charitable programs, including support of veterans and physically disabled children known as California-Hawaii Elks Major Projects. Moreover, the lodge continues to present $55,000 in scholarships to local high school seniors each year and has done so for many years. Serving the northwestern San Fernando Valley, the club is familiar to area residents as a center for local community needs and events.
“The location benefits from high visibility, prominent street frontage on three sides and easy access to major freeways,” said Joshi. “These were key locational factors that captured the interest of the Buyer,” added Joshi.
