Dennis Durmis Named Chair of MITA Board of Directors
Washington, DC, January 21, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA) announced today that Dennis Durmis, Senior Vice President Bayer Radiology, Americas Region will serve as chair of the MITA Board of Directors.
“Denny has been an important leader and an invaluable member of the MITA board,” said Patrick Hope, Executive Director of MITA. “We look forward to his leadership as chair to guide MITA during this very important time in the medical imaging industry.”

Durmis has been with Bayer for more than 19 years. Before assuming his current role, he was responsible for Bayer’s global MEDRAD® Service business and led all aspects of MEDRAD® Emerging Markets growth initiative from market assessment to market selection to incubation. As head of Integration Planning, he led the integration of Possis Medical as well as a subsequent corporate restructuring.
Before Bayer, Durmis held various positions at Consol Energy where he provided oversight for corporate strategic investments including Mergers and Acquisitions and capital intensive growth projects.
Durmis holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Business Administration from the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.
