Frisco/McKinney Area Parents Will Have a New Entry Point and Spring Football Option for Their Young Athletes

This Spring, the team at NFX | National Flex Football is working with IAM | Innovative Athletic Movement to bring 9v9, limited-contact football to McKinney/Frisco.

Frisco, TX, January 27, 2019 --(PR.com)-- 9on9 Flex Football by NFX is picking up steam with leagues popping up all around the country, and it’s coming to Collin and Denton county residents. The "Flex" style of play seen in the gameplay, is inspired from the NFL teams’ practice philosophy to develop their skills without putting the wear and tear on the body. It allows blocking but no head/shoulder contact and no tackling as players are marked down by 2-hand touch.

Young tackle players can gain 500+ more reps in the offseason, and flag/7on7 players can progress into the next level of football development. Parents with kids wanting to try out football for the first time, now have a non-impact option that is fast-paced like 7on7 but adds the elements of linemen and the running game while developing translatable football skills.

Games will be played at McKinney Boyd High School and will be supported by IAM and former Plano East great and former NFL running back Wynel Seldon. Youth tackle leagues looking to develop their kids and raise some additional funds for their fall program should reach out to NFX to look to partner for the Spring. This league is for all kids from the ages of 6 to 14 years old.

Registration for the Spring NFX Flex league is now open and you can find out more information and register at flexfootball.com/nfx-dfw-frisco or flexfootball.com/nfx-dfw-mckinney.
