Scotland is Now and Go Overseas Offer Scholarship to Study Abroad in Scotland
Berkeley, CA, January 30, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Go Overseas is partnering with the Scottish Government through their Scotland is Now campaign to promote Scotland as a study abroad destination. In 2019, they are proud to announce the first ever promotion to offer a full-tuition scholarship (https://www.gooverseas.com/scholarships/scotland) to study abroad in Scotland.
One well-deserving student will have the opportunity to live abroad, expand their cultural competencies and add a valuable asset to their resume - all for free. In addition, the student will receive an allowance to cover the cost of their round-trip flight to Scotland, further removing the financial barriers to international education.
For this first year, Go Overseas is enthusiastic about the opportunity to help increase student awareness of Scotland as a study abroad destination. “We’re incredibly excited the Scottish government shares our enthusiasm about international education. In working with other country partners in the past, we’ve been able to dramatically increase both awareness and actual student enrollments overseas. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to spotlight all Scotland has to offer and help students take steps to make their study abroad dreams a reality,” says Izzy Weisz, marketing manager in charge of this year’s scholarship campaign.
The paperless scholarship application (https://www.gooverseas.com/scholarships/scotland) is unlike a traditional essay format. The goal is to get students engaged and excited about Scotland from the get-go so even if they don’t win the scholarship, they will still be interested in studying abroad.
Students can find eligibility criteria, information about the prestigious Scottish universities (https://www.gooverseas.com/scholarships/scotland/application-guide) they can attend, and learn about what it’s like to live in Scotland During the application, students can choose whether they’d like to apply for Summer or Fall 2019, or Spring 2020. They can also select up to three programs, either directly through a university or a study abroad program provider. The final step is to submit a high quality essay and Scotland themed photo.
