Entrepreneur Engineering Student Sells Probability after Tuition Fee Takes a Hard Hit

Imperial College Student develops a cheap innovative advertising strategy based on the selling of probability and hyperlinks. The new strategy which he has named uBlam is aimed at those on the net with a few minutes of boredom to kill.

London, United Kingdom, March 10, 2006 --(PR.com)-- An Engineering Student from Imperial College London plans to earn back his lost money by selling hyperlink entries connected to a virtual online button. Ashkan Miri, 19, believes his virtual button will be a source of entertainment for the millions of bored internet users around the world.

Once pressed, the virtual button takes the user to a random website from a database. Website owners can add their hyperlink onto the database for $1 per entry. The more entries they add, the higher the probability of their site being randomly selected.

Christian Clough who lives two rooms away from Ashkan in his halls of residence said “I decided to design his website for him because I felt sorry for the bloke. I will be impressed if it works."

The ex-pokerholic student who lost part of his student loan money playing online poker read many books on probabilities of poker hands but said “I never realised I could sell luck!” He also plans to aim for the dictionary by naming the virtual button the BLAM button, with the slogan being ‘Just have a BLAM...’

Since the opening of his site (www.uBlam.com), Ashkan has gained back only a few dollars of his lost tuition money but is hoping to reach the full amount, and promises never to play online poker again. Ashkan also added “many people play poker because they can’t think of anything else to do; I hope the Blam will give them something new”.
