DMI Names Community Action Kentucky’s Roger McCann Recipient of First-Ever Digital Leader Award
CAK and DMI partner to deliver services to 75,000 families since launch of new software.
Bethesda, MD, February 15, 2019 --(PR.com)-- As a result of his visionary leadership role in modernizing the business processes of Community Action Kentucky’s (CAK), DMI has named CAK Executive Director Roger McCann as the inaugural recipient of its DMI Digital Leader Award.
DMI, a global mobility solutions and digital transformation firm that helps clients evolve their business models and navigate the digital revolution, partnered with CAK to implement a new software system, significantly improving the way in which the agency does business. The project included a modernized server infrastructure and architecture equipped to adapt to the ever-changing needs of Community Action Kentucky’s users.
“In less than 12 months, DMI migrated our business processes to the cloud, built a web browser-based interface and deployed it to over 600 users in 116 counties,” said McCann. “We now have a modern, flexible and secure solution that has empowered us over the past three months to deliver assistance to more than 75,000 families and 180,000 individuals across the state who cannot afford basic energy services.”
As the state association supporting 23 Community Action Agencies across Kentucky, CAK needed to be able to respond to the increasing demands of its federal and state program funders. With outreach offices in each of the state’s 120 counties, CAK’s ability to accurately capture demographics, assess needs, determine eligibility, process financial transactions and effectively analyze the data collected was critically important.
“At the heart of every project we undertake is an unwavering dedication to building human-centric design,” said DMI CEO, Sunny Bajaj. “But when our work in delivering Next Gen technology solutions so directly impacts the well-being of citizens, as was the case with the Community Action Kentucky initiative, speaking on behalf of the entire DMI team, we feel honored to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families and children across the Bluegrass State.”
DMI launched its DMI Digital Leader Award program to recognize individuals leading significant digital reinvention in how their organizations operate and compete. More information about CAK and the scope of its project with DMI can be found at the DMI Digital Leader Award site.
