Location Unknown Podcast Exploring Mysterious Unsolved Disappearances in North America’s Wilderness
Started last year, the Locations Unknown Podcast is quickly growing into a must listen show that explores the mysterious and unsolved missing persons cases in North America’s wilderness.
Milwaukee, WI, February 17, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Launched in December 2018, the Locations Unknown Podcast was little more than a pipe dream for co-hosts Mike Van de Bogert & Joe Erato. Fast forward three months and the show has published multiple episodes, secured guest interviews with National Park Officials, and helped keep the search going for a missing Canadian hiker in Joshua Tree National Park. When asked about why the show is taking off after only 3 months co-host and creator Mike Van de Bogert said, “I think there was a void in this type of content. Joe and I searched for shows like ours and we just couldn’t find them. Our show mixes these incredible unsolved missing persons cases with real life backcountry hiking experience to create an Unsolved Mysteries-Survivor Man hybrid. Our listeners love it.” Joe Erato added, “We really try to draw on our decade of backcountry hiking experience to give our listeners the most factual representation of what we think happened in these cases. We also like to add in our own stories to keep it interesting, though many of these cases are wildly interesting on their own.”
Since December, Locations Unknown tackled several missing persons cases including Paul Fugate, Paul Miller, Bobby Bizup, and Michael Ficery. They also had the opportunity to interview the Public Information Officer for Joshua Tree National Park George Land and the SAR Director for Rampart Search and Rescue David Haskin. When asked about future plans for the show Mike said, “We love to have guests come on the show. They provide expert insight into the missing case and location. I’d like to continue to secure guests for the show and am constantly reaching out to people regarding future episodes. We’ve got a lot of cool plans for the show in 2019 so make sure to follow what we’re doing on our Facebook page.”
