Albert Swantner, Jennison Asuncion Join Knowbility Board

Albert Swantner, an Austin-based entrepreneur, and Jennison Asuncion, digital accessibility lead for LinkedIn, have joined the board of Knowbility, a nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas and an award-winning leader in accessible information technology.

Austin, TX, February 26, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Albert Swantner, an Austin-based entrepreneur, and Jennison Asuncion, digital accessibility lead for LinkedIn, have joined the board of Knowbility. With this exciting development, Knowbility’s board has now grown to eight members.

Albert Swantner is founder and CEO of Bohemian Innovation, a company that works with ad agencies, startups, and corporations to create unforgettable experiences and use mobile applications effectively. He’s also the co-founder of Sway Water and the Audio Project.

"Albert Swantner is a successful young entrepreneur with a strong sense of community who uses his talents to make the world better,” Sharron Rush, Knowbility’s Executive Director, said.

Albert sits on the board of Latinitas and on the junior board of Big Brothers Big Sisters. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from UT Austin. He lives in Austin with his wife Sarah and sons Elliott and Everett.

Jennison Asuncion has a long career in digital accessibility. For seven years, he worked with the IT division of the Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto. In 2013, he moved to Silicon Valley to work for LinkedIn.

In 2012, Jennison co-founded Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). Celebrated the third Thursday in May, GAAD is a day on which the tech community can recognize the importance of digital accessibility for people with disabilities.

In addition to the Knowbility board, Jennison sits on the boards of the Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired SF and Accessible Media International.

The other members of Knowbility’s board are Varsha Dadlani (chair and treasurer, Deloitte Consulting), James Green (chair-elect, Visa), Hugh Forrest (SxSW), Katie Haritos-Shea (EVERFI), Bob Regan (Gates Ventures), and Frances West (FrancesWestCo).
