About the Author

Antonio Nelson is a loving husband and father of three boys to whom he has dedicated his life. Also known as "Silver Tongue The Poet," He was first published in Treasures of Imagination with one poem titled Why You Made It Through. His poetry covers every aspect of life. Born in Mecklenburg, North Carolina, and raised in South Carolina, at age twenty he was contacted by his biological mother, just before signing with the United States Marine Corps. The emotions that he experienced would overwhelm anyone. "When you have lived most of your life being raised by someone that you know and love as your mother, only to find out twenty years later that they are no relation, can be devastating to even the strongest of men." Consequently instead of taking the final oath of the USMC, he decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1994, to meet for the first time in his life his Mother, younger brother and sister. "My poetry is a deep expression of not just my emotions and feelings but of many. To me it's like walking with your heart and soul and taking note of the conversation. My soul says, "That there is more to you than you are now, so why stay on the ground when you can fly?" My heart says, "If you take the jump the net will be there, so stop looking at your future and be a part of it."
