FemAle Brew Fest to Feature the Special Collaboration Brew Created by the Pink Boots Society Florida Chapter Members in Celebration of International Women’s Day
FemAle Brew Fest continuous its highlight of women in brewing at this incredible annual beer festival featuring female beer experts and brewsters.
Fort Lauderdale, FL, March 09, 2019 --(PR.com)-- FemAle Brew Fest Founder and Pink Boots Society Florida leader collaborates with other Pink Boots Members and Red Cypress Brewery to create "Sick Sad World," New England IPA being brewed at the Red Cypress Brewery location in Orlando. This special collaboration brew created alongside some of the ladies from the Pink Boots Society Florida Chapter will be featured at the upcoming FemAle Brew Fest to be held at Pegasus Park at Gulfstream Park on March 23, 2019.
Red Cypress Head Brewer and Cooperage Queen, Amanda Mailey, created "Sick Sad World" using a blend of hops developed by Yakima Chief Hops. The special hops blend is part of Pink Boots Society’s Collaboration Brew Day and contains, loral, glacier, mosaic, simcoe and saber hops. She will be joined by sisters in brewing from Redlight Redlight, Central 28, Tactical Brewing, Bowigens, Thirsty Topher, Crooked Can and the FemAle Brew Fest founder to make this hazy New England Style IPA which promises to deliver a bursting juicy, tropical hop experience with notes of stone fruit and dank.
The FemAle Brew Fest is Florida's only craft beer festival celebrating women in brewing and its founder's new leadership of the Pink Boots Society Florida and Fort Lauderdale Girls Pint Out chapters is a testament to the growing camaraderie and ever increasing role women play in the craft beer industry.
Red Cypress Brewery will be one of many breweries returning to participate in the 3rd Annual FemAle Brew Fest and Amanda and other women in brewing will be on site to chat about their passion for brewing, experiences in an occupation traditionally held by men, and their thoughts on the future for craft brewing and women in the industry.
"The benefits of this Collaboration Brew Day is that women in brewing get an opportunity to share some of the different features of their brewing systems, various brewing techniques, experiences and formulating important connections and support among other women in the industry," says Frances Antonio-Martineau, FemAle Brew Fest Founder, Pink Boots Society and Fort Lauderdale Girls Pint Out, chapter leader.

About Pink Boots Society
In 2007, brewmaster Teri Fahrendorf set out on a 139-day gypsy-brewing road trip across the United States with a pair of pink brewing boots given to her by her mother-in-law. During that trip Teri met several women brewers she didn’t know existed, nor did they know of her. Teri’s history as a brewmaster for nineteen years seemed to inspire these women, and their desire for information exchange and mentoring inspired Teri to start building a list of sixty women brewers. That list was the beginning of Pink Boots Society. The nascent organization’s first meeting was held at the 2008 Craft Brewers Conference. In the fall of 2008, the thirty five members present voted to make Pink Boots Society a 501(c)(3) open to any woman anywhere in the world who made her income from some aspect of the beer industry. Pink Boots Society currently has almost 1,100 members.
