Senior Military Officials to Discuss System Standardisation and Data Management Maximisation at Air Mission Planning & Support 2019
SMi Group reports: Senior military and industry experts to discuss data management and improving mission success at Air Mission Planning & Support in London.
London, United Kingdom, March 14, 2019 --(PR.com)-- SMi's 10th Annual Air Mission Planning and Support conference is returning to London on the 9th and 10th April 2019 where leading nations are preparing to deliver presentations on their most advanced mission planning support systems to date.
This year’s two-day conference is set to cover vital topics including maximising air power via mission planning; modernising NORAD; enhancing cooperative missions via C2 systems; standardising F-35 operations between nations; 5th generation capabilities; enhancing mission planning systems and capabilities; optimising joint operation mission planning; and more.
In recent news, the US Army, Navy, and Air Force signed a memorandum for the establishment of common standards across future weapon information systems, with the aim of improving battlefield coordination via streamlined information flow.
Integrating information systems into a transferable communication system is however challenging, and service providers are required to worked towards common information systems integration. (Source: oodaloop.com)
This move will allow for greater coordination on the battlefield, as well as faster decision making, and as a result will improve mission success.
Effective air mission planning is a vital part of successful operations, a key challenge being improving and maximising standardisation and data management between systems.
For this reason, the 2019 event will explore how future innovations can help maximise air power, with detailed presentations on 5th generation jets, rotary systems, standardisation and data management, and more.
Day-one is set to host a Military & Industry Panel Discussion on: Data Management: Industry And Military Collaborations.
Day-two will feature a presentation from Colonel Etienne Faury, Chief Planning Office, French Air Force on “Increasing Connectivity between 4.5 Gen Air Craft and Air Mission Planning Systems in the French Air Force". The presentation will cover:
· Data and software standardization enhancement between different generations of aircraft
· Enhancing international collaboration through increased connectivity between member states
Delegates at the conference will hear from an international speaker line-up of senior military and industry representatives, sharing their valuable thoughts, experiences, and insights on the critical topic of air mission planning and air power maximisation.
