Local, Davenport, Iowa, Publisher Branches Out with New Imprint

Davenport, IA, March 14, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Local publisher, 918studio press, has expanded, launching a new imprint, Legacy Book Press. The new imprint seeks to publish legacy stories, widely defined and in any form: poetry, non-fiction, or fiction. The imprint offers several options for publishing, including full traditional publishing, selective subsidized publishing, or full-service self-publishing. About the new imprint, owner, Jodie Toohey, said, “I wanted to create a publisher with the focus of helping people tell their story or share their experiences as a member of the human race, however that story is told. It could be an autobiography, memoir, or family history. It could be a novel heavily based on personal experience, a collection of poetry written as someone navigated a significant period of their life, or the story of a business to use as a marketing tool.”

Toohey is also the author of eight books: four novels – Missing Emily: Croatian Life Letters, Melody Madson – May It Please the Court?, Taming the Twisted, and Taming the Twisted 2 Reconstructing Rain; three poetry collections – Crush and Other Love Poems for Girls, The Other Side of Crazy, and Versed in Nature: Hiking Northwest Illinois and East Iowa State Parks; and one non-fiction book - Book Marketing Basics: The 5 Ps. When she’s not writing and publishing my own books, she is helping authors, soon-to-be-authors, and want-to-be authors from pre-idea to reader and everywhere in between as her alter ego, Wordsy Woman.
