Babysitting Course to be Held at Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield on April 12th
In conjunction with EMS Academy of Marshfield, the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield will hold a babysitting course for children ages 11 to 17 years old on Saturday, April 12th, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Marshfield, MA, March 27, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The “BLAST Babysitter Lessons and Safety Training” course will instruct the students in:
• Proper first aid procedures for common childhood emergencies
• Fundamentals of emergency care procedures such as choking and CPR
• Proper response to common childhood behavioral changes
• The types of games and toys appropriate for each age group
• How to childproof a room according to the age of the child
• How to meet all of a child’s needs properly
• The contents and appropriate use of items in a well-stocked first aid kit
Space is limited to 18 attendees. The Babysitting Course is open to both members and non-members and the fee is $30.
“We had a terrific turnout at our first Babysitting program in February. Only 18 kids can be taught in this hands-on program at a time. As a result, there’s quite a demand for it and we’re looking in to repeating the program,” said Greg Jackson, the club’s Executive Director.
To register, contact Kathleen Newcomb at the Boys and Girls Club, (781) 834-2582.
