Doylestown, PA, March 21, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Something/Anything Productions is proud to announce a special event: An Evening with Livingston Taylor, a concert by Livingston Taylor at Del Val University, April 14, 7:30 – 10:00 p.m. Taylor has appeared in Doylestown often during a 50-year career that encompasses performance, songwriting and teaching - and which was the subject of an award-winning documentary film, Livingston Taylor: Life is Good, released at national and international film festivals last year.
From top-40 hits “I Will Be in Love with You” and “I’ll Come Running,” to “I Can Dream of You” and “Boatman,” the last two recorded by his brother James, Taylor’s creative output has continued unabated. His musical knowledge has inspired a varied repertoire, and he is equally at home with a range of musical genres - folk, pop, gospel, jazz - from upbeat storytelling and touching ballads to full orchestra performances.
A full professor at Berklee College of Music, Taylor also teaches young artists invaluable lessons learned over the course of an extensive career on the road; his classes are consistently voted the most popular at the College. His high-selling book, Stage Performance, released in 2011, offers lessons to anyone interested in elevating their presentation standards to professional standards.
Doylestown has enjoyed Taylor’s performances dating back to the 1970s, when the late local resident David F. Presti produced a show at The County Theater. In 2011 Taylor performed a set at the James A. Michener Art Museum, for local software vendor PARIS Technologies’ Out of this World event. Presti was the firm’s president at the time, and indeed it is in his memory that Taylor will perform at Del Val University on April 14.
