Practical Horseman Debuts New Podcast

Frederick, MD, March 23, 2019 --(PR.com)-- For the first time in its brand history, Practical Horseman has launched a podcast which features conversations with respected riders, industry leaders and horse care experts to inform and inspire listeners. Co-hosted by Practical Horseman editors Sandra Oliynyk, Emily Daily and Jocelyn Pierce, the podcast will run every other Friday.

The first episode is with the legendary George Morris, who sets the scene for the conversation: “I’ve never been the best rider. I’ve never been a Nick Skelton. I’ve never been a McLain. I’ve never been a Kent. Never. But I never lowered my standards with horsemanship. And that’s my secret.”

In the podcast, Morris touches on several topics from his early years as a timid rider, to his love of dressage, to the American Forward riding system. He discusses the challenges he sees in today’s sporthorse industry, shares one exercise he thinks riders need to work on more and speaks fondly about favorite horses, including one who was a catalyst for a competitive-riding comeback in the 1980s.

Also in the podcast lineup are conversations with the sport’s elite including Margie Goldstein-Engle, Anne Kursinski, William Fox-Pitt, Buck Davidson and more. Visit iTunes, SoundCloud or Stitcher to subscribe and take their podcast with you on the go.
