The Trivia Event will be held at Kirk Hall, Douglas County Fairgrounds, on April 6--with doors opening at 5 p.m., the program starting at 6:15 and the trivia game beginning at 6:30. This year's Trivia Event will be run by “Geeks Who Drink,” a popular and engaging group of trivia whiz kids. Founded in 2003, Zonta Douglas County is part of Zonta International, a global organization of executives and professionals.

“Your registration includes the opportunity to win cash prizes from $300 to $900, table snacks and drinks--non-alcoholic beverages, wine, beer, margaritas,” says Marilyn Harding, 2019 Zonta Douglas County Trivia Chair. “Food trucks will be available, and you can participate in the fun ‘Heads or Tails’ game plus more opportunities to support Zonta’s good work in the community.”

The cost for Trivia 2019 is $360 per team and $20 for observers. Online registration is available at www.zontadouglascounty.org . “Sponsorships also are available, starting at $500,” says Harding.

Zonta Centennial
One hundred years ago, a small group of pioneering women came together in Buffalo, N.Y. with a vision to help all women realize greater equality while using their individual and collective expertise in service to their community.

Their vision became Zonta International, an organization that has grown to more than 29,000 members in 63 countries, working together to make gender equality a reality for women and girls worldwide.

Nov. 8, 2019 marks Zonta’s centennial anniversary. Its Global Centennial Celebration will continue for a full year. “With varied, widespread local service projects and commemorations, and Zonta International giving $1,000,000 in grants to non-profits around the globe, the upcoming year is sure to be historic in its impact,” Browning adds.
