Kleiner has experience working across all major fields of insurance and reinsurance. He has spent more than 25 years with Munich Re in a variety of senior management positions, including member of the Board of Management of ERGO International (2007-2016), a Munich Re subsidiary, and CEO of Munich Re Africa (2003-2007). Kleiner holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Stuttgart (Germany), and an Executive MBA in Financial Services and Insurance from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School (Belgium) and University of St. Gallen (Switzerland). He holds an Associateship from the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) in the UK.
