World Premiere of Feral – the Last Movie Shot Entirely in St. Bernard Parish Before Hurricane Katrina – at the Grand Cinema
Doorway Entertainment Presents “Feral,” Saturday – March 25, 2006 – 7 PM at the Grand Cinema in Baton Rouge, LA.
New Orleans, LA, March 12, 2006 --(PR.com)-- New Orleans filmmakers Merrill Capps and Britt Pitre, will premiere the anticipated thriller, “Feral” – the last movie shot entirely in St. Bernard Parish, a suburb of New Orleans, before Hurricane Katrina at the Grand Cinema in Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday March 25, 2006 at 7 PM.
As the first installment from Doorway Entertainment, “Feral” – a psychological thriller / horror – is about a young couple’s desperate fight for survival, after an accidental murder while searching for their 6 year old daughter in the woods at night. The film questions the fine line between the human and the inhuman, civilization and the wild – which is quite ironic given the recent chaos in New Orleans. “Feral” received rave reviews from test audiences late last year. For more information on the film (i.e. – trailer, photos, etc.) please visit www.feralmovie.com.
Because Hurricane Katrina destroyed their homes and offices, the filmmakers were forced to take to the road and complete the movie as nomads. “We’ve bounced around all over the country from New York, to Washington, D.C., to Shreveport, to other places and back. We’re currently stationed in Atlanta… well – at least for now… next month – who knows” Capps said. “Feral” is the first of many projects in the works; Doorway Entertainment is now beginning work on their next feature for production later this year.
Industry & Press V.I.P. tickets may be reserved by emailing a request to feral@doorwayentertainment.com with “Feral Premiere” in the subject line. For more information please call 504.669.0400 or email feral@doorwayentertainment.com.
