Their educational session, titled “ICD-10 Coding Deep Dive for Skilled Nursing: Preparation for PDPM,” will highlight focus areas for ICD-10 rules and foundational information to support PDPM diagnosis coding requirements.

Kay Hashagen has more than 35 years of healthcare industry experience specializing in geriatric rehabilitation for skilled nursing and outpatient rehabilitation. She supports ongoing training and resource needs for therapy departments through LW Consulting Inc.’s Therapy Resource Information Partner program and Patient-Driven Payment Model Prep program.

Sarina Vanausdle has more than ten years of experience in patient administration, health information management, medical coding, medical auditing, and HIPAA compliance. She’s worked in civilian and military medical health care systems.
