Las Vegas, NV, April 07, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Firelight Barn Entertainer, Skyler Jackson, age 17, is publishing her first book, Blood Ties. Jackson, the youngest performer at Firelight Barn, has been performing since she was 2 years old. She recently graduated from high school and is writing her first novel, Blood Ties, a young adult, fantasy story about doing your best and accepting the consequences.
Blood Ties tells the story of creatures that have both a human form and an animal form, the Lyvens. Living in a world called Cillium, they ignore the planet connected to them, a world called Earth. Both worlds are turned completely upside down when they’re attacked by “Corruption.” Suddenly thrust into a situation neither understand, they must figure out what’s going on before this “Corruption” takes hold of the Lyvens’ small world.
Jackson, who is beginning college courses early, has been entertaining her entire life. She’s always been an early learner. She could play the fiddle before she could walk. At the age of 3, she began dance and piano lessons. When she was 6 years old, her mother, Toni Jackson, the matriarch of Mamas Wranglers, took Jackson to learn how to yodel. Despite being about 10 years too young to ideally master the craft, young Jackson was yodeling within 20 minutes.
Jackson is the youngest performer at the Firelight Barn in Henderson, NV, where she and her siblings, known as Mama's Wranglers, perform 2-3 times a week. They all clog, sing, and play many instruments.
Jackson has performed in Canada, Europe and in 49 states, and became known as "America's Little Yodeling Sweetheart." She was recorded on her first album in 2006 when she was just 4 years old. She's also written countless songs for the piano, and is now writing her first book.
Blood Ties will be published this Spring, and Firelight Barn will host a special event for the first book signing.
