vSpring Capital, a Salt Lake City early-stage venture capital firm, conducts the annual v|100 to recognize outstanding entrepreneurs with ties to Utah. Each year, vSpring asks members of the Utah business community to nominate individuals who are most likely to lead a successful start-up technology venture in the next five to seven years in a C-level executive role. Nominees who garner the most votes from their peers in a nominee-only second step of the annual voting process are then elected into the v|100.
Borghetti, who was recently included among Utah Business Magazine’s “40 under 40” annual feature, is also an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Wayne Brown Institute, the oldest and most successful non-profit venture accelerator program in the country. Leveraging his extensive communication, collaboration, and technology management experience, Borghetti led the initial market and technical feasibility research for Sendside Networks’ next-generation message and document delivery technology, and is currently overseeing the company’s commercial launch of the Sendside Network next month.
Barson, who has founded a number of consumer facing medical and technology companies, joined Sendside in November of 2007 as director of product marketing and “User Experience Czar.” Besides his own businesses, Barson has become well known in Utah’s entrepreneurial community after founding Fight Club for entrepreneurs, as well as an angel investment group in Park City. Barson has been named to the v|100 for a second straight year.
