World Recognized Model/Businesswoman, Kelli Dunn, Named Editor-at-Large for New Makeup and Beauty Magazine
Model turned business woman, Kelli Dunn, is named Editor-at-Large and introduces to the world a new magazine targeted at makeup artists and people who love makeup and Beauty. The title of the magazine is NOMA Beauty Magazine.
New York, NY, March 28, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Kelli Dunn, the well recognized model who has graced many magazine pages as well as strolled the runway for company giants like Lane Bryant, Lord and Taylor, and Elisabeth Clairborne, has been named the Editor-at-Large for NOMA Beauty Magazine and plans to introduce the world to the new magazine that targets makeup artists and those who love makeup in May.
Noma Beauty Magazine is published by National Online Makeup Artists, the website that started out as a makeup artists database and soon became so much more. Aside from being a place where people or agencies looking to hire a makeup artists could find them (on a national and in some cases an international level), the website is also home to the NOMA Academy “Makeup Artistry 101," a self-paced, 10-lesson class packed full of makeup history, application techniques and ideas which will help a student get started on becoming a masterful makeup artist. National Online Makeup Artists was created by Kelli Dunn and her celebrity makeup artists sister Vanessa Dunn (Jennifer Garner, Brittany Murphy, Angelina Jolie).
“With the success of the website, A physical/real world magazine was the next logical step for our growth as a company,” Kelli Dunn said from her office. “We want to entertain, educate, and inform our readers about the world of makeup and beauty.”
Kelli Dunn wanted to make it clear that even though the magazine is designed for makeup artists, it is so much more and can be appreciated by the average person who loves makeup and beauty. “There are fun things also, like cooking tips, celebrity comparisons and information, horoscopes, and more. There are also tips to perfect that business or “going out” look or how to get that favorite celebrity look.. I wanted the magazine to be enjoyed whether you are a professional makeup artists or not... And I think we accomplished that.”
NOMA Beauty Magazine is really first of its kind. There have been beauty magazines that deal with fashion and beauty and there have been technical makeup magazines, but there has never been a magazine that focuses on makeup and how to use it as well as the people that love it professionally and who use it on a daily basis.
As Editor-at-Large, Kelli Dunn decided to publish the first issue specifically for website subscribers as a way to see how it would fit into the marketplace. The reception was better then she could have imagined and for that reason the magazine gets a wider release in May.
Kelli Dunn decided that not only should she be Editor-at Large, she needed to be art and creative director so to make sure her vision of a magazine with a nice clean elegant look would be realized.
