BestYard.com won the 2019 Association of Landscape Contractor’s Annual ELITE Award for Innovation.
Parker, CO, April 14, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Parker-based BestYard.com and Dominoe Properties were recently recognized by the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC) at The ELITE Awards for their landscape expertise and innovation. The Awards program is the only of its kind in Colorado and recognizes professionalism, best business practices, innovation and originality in the landscape industry.
BestYard.com and Dominoe Properties in Parker received the ELITE Award in the Innovation category for their creative approach to zoning in Douglas County. Many contractors ignore the county’s strict zoning regulations on outdoor facilities. BestYard.com and Dominoe Properties met zoning regulations by facility received Douglas County’s only zoning permit for a location for multiple landscape contractor operations. They creatively screened their 7.5-acre facility from public view with 5-foot landscape berms, 6-to10-foot fencing, 70 trees and 350 shrubs and grasses. They even incorporated a front and rear detention pond to hold and filter water runoff to meet Colorado water quality and environmental standards.
The ELITE Awards are presented by ALCC and sponsored in 2019 by Colorado Materials, Inc. to honor outstanding landscapes and personnel within the profession. Award-winning projects and personnel reflect Colorado’s 21st Century values of environmental sustainability and solutions, customer service, community stewardship and best management practices.
