The Lonely Entrepreneur® Launches 501(c)(3) Non-Profit to Empower Entrepreneurs Worldwide
Mission is to Empower Women, Minorities, Youth, Military & Less Fortunate with Entrepreneurial Skills
New York, NY, April 23, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The Lonely Entrepreneur announced today the launch of its non-profit to empower women, minorities, youth and those less fortunate with the entrepreneurial skills they’ll need to succeed in today’s hypercompetitive world. The mission of the non-profit is to unlock the potential of 1 million entrepreneurs worldwide.
Developing the skills to start and grow a business has become essential in today’s global economy. These skills are no longer "nice to have," but rather key skills to help individuals realize their potential. Unfortunately, while these groups have passion and great ideas, many lack access to the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. The Lonely Entrepreneur’s non-profit is designed to provide this knowledge and support to these groups free of charge.
The Lonely Entrepreneur was founded by Michael Dermer, an entrepreneur, speaker, lawyer and author of the top-rated book, "The Lonely Entrepreneur." The Lonely Entrepreneur has built The Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community, a one-stop shop for the knowledge, tools and support that entrepreneurs need:
- Organizes what entrepreneurs need to know across the business and personal issues they all face
- Includes over 200 learning modules, tools and templates, and vendor reviews, and
- Guides entrepreneurs with an online community and weekly group coaching
Through The Lonely Entrepreneur’s non-profit arm, The Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community will be made available free of charge to these entrepreneurs. This will enable charities, foundations, cities and corporate social responsibility efforts to have an efficient and scalable way to empower the entrepreneurs they wish to help. Organizations have the opportunity to sponsor the type and number of entrepreneurs they wish to support. In doing so, the non-profit enables public and private entities to easily sponsor entrepreneurs in alignment with their respective missions and organizational initiatives such as driving diversity, empowering women, fostering inclusion, preparing youth, helping military veterans and transforming athletes with knowledge and support. “We come across so many women, minorities, young people, military vets, and former athletes that lack the knowledge and support they need to start and grow businesses,” explains Michael Dermer. “And there are so many companies, brands, charities and foundations that feel deeply about empowering these individuals, but lack an efficient way to deliver on that worthy promise. Our non-profit not only helps individuals but provides these organizations with a ready-made way to empower the groups they wish to help.”
The Lonely Entrepreneur’s Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team of individuals who have had commercial success and a commitment to giving back to the communities they serve. Dale Moss, former NFL receiver for the Green Bay Packers, is a member of the Board, as well as a brand partner and Global Ambassador for the Special Olympics. “I come across so many women, minorities, young people and current and former athletes that lack the knowledge and support they need to grow businesses,” explains Dale Moss. “The Lonely Entrepreneur not only helps individuals, but provides organizations with a ready-made way to empower the groups they wish to help.”

About Michael Dermer:
Michael Dermer is an entrepreneur, speaker, lawyer and founder/author of The Lonely Entrepreneur. Michael is considered the founder of not only a company, but an industry, rewarding individuals for healthy behavior. Michael left a promising law career to start IncentOne, the first company to provide rewards for healthy behavior. At the time, rewards in healthcare were not only non-existent, they were offensive. He was told over and over, “we will never reward people for things they should be doing to be healthy.” After bootstrapping for a decade, his company received a large private equity investment on October 15, 2008. They had arrived. It should have been a time for celebration. Then the financial crisis hit. Ten years were gone in ten days. Bankrupt customers. Investment gone. Credit dead. Family dollars at risk. Angry investors. Family relationships on the brink. It would take two years of working 24 hours a day to save what took ten years to build. The perfect storm. It was doomed. Or was it? Today, health rewards are everywhere, he sold IncentOne to industry innovator Welltok and his company is credited with creating the health rewards industry. What resulted was not only a business success, but the discovery of a unique method on how to thrive under the pressure, chaos and burden of being the entrepreneur. The Lonely Entrepreneur was born.
