Born on February 26, 1979 in Savannah, Georgia, James attended Benedictine Military School (class of 97). During his years at Benedictine, James excelled in both academics and athletics. He then obtained a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 2002. James began his career as a staff accountant at Hancock Askew & Co., LLP. He then became a senior tax accountant with Aprio and later moved to Cordasco & Company, PC where he worked his way up to become COO. In October 2017, he started Innovative Tax and Accounting Solutions, LLC. Mr. Rahal is affiliated with the A.I.C.P.A. and the G.S.C.P.A.

James has always been a scholar-athlete, and played football for the Georgia Bulldogs before suffering a career ending knee injury in 2001. He is married to Tiffani and they have three sons, Alexander (AJ), Anderson and Ashford. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, tennis, golf, the outdoors- going to the beach, and being on the water.
