WeeUsables Consignment Event Donates 100% of Stuff-a-Bag Fundraiser Proceeds to Adoptions From The Heart
Lancaster, PA, May 03, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The WeeUsables Consignment Event partnered with Adoptions From The Heart for their Spring/Summer 2019 Lancaster sale. From March 13th-March 16th the greater Lancaster, PA congregated to Franklin & Marshall College Alumni Sports and Fitness Center to shop and consign gently used maternity and children’s clothing.
Every WeeUsables Consignment Event hosts a Stuff-a-Bag fundraiser to benefit a charity that serves women and children within the community. The Stuff-a-Bag fundraiser allows shoppers to literally fill a standard-sized biodegradable bag of items remaining from the four-day consignment event. Shoppers pay $10 for every bag they fill during the hour of the fundraiser. Since 2011, the sustainable shopping event has raised over $100,000 in proceeds for charity from the Stuff-a-Bag fundraiser.
WeeUsables Consignment Event garnered a total of $5,061 in sales from the March 16th, 2019 Stuff-a-Bag fundraiser at Franklin & Marshall College. This year the consignors voted for Adoptions From The Heart to receive 100% proceeds made from the Stuff-a-Bag fundraiser.

Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH) was founded in 1985 by Maxine Chalker, our Executive Director. Maxine, herself an adoptee, wanted to give adoption a new face by breaking down the barriers and taking some of the mystery out of the adoption process. AFTH is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide safe, loving homes for children and offer comprehensive, high-quality services to adoptive families, birth parents, and children. WeeUsables Consignment Event is a family oriented secondhand sale held seasonally in Lancaster and York, PA. Lori Hartmann-Boris created the event to give local families the opportunity to sell and buy unused and outgrown children’s and maternity items. Since 2010 over 1,000 local families have come out to participate and purchase items at the WeeUsables Consignment Event.
