The Scientology Information Center Celebrates Mother’s Day and Commemorates Dianetics’ Anniversary
On May 8th, Ms. Amber Skjelset, Manager of the Scientology Information Center announced that both Mother’s Day (on Sunday May 12th) the 69th Anniversary of Dianetics (May 9th) with be celebrated together with educational videos, refreshments and discussion.
Clearwater, FL, May 11, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Daily from May 9th to May 13th, 3 and 5 pm, Downtown Clearwater’s Scientology Information Center will host showings of “Dianetics: An Introduction” from the Scientology TV Network and the “Children” Chapter from the Scientology Handbook Tools for Life film; providing an introduction to simple but effective tools which have helped parents across the world have happier children and families. Complementary refreshments will be served at the Information Center.
Dianetics was published on May 9th, 1950 by the then-39-year-old L. Ron Hubbard, taking the world by storm. “Hundreds of men and women for across the United States got their copies of Dianetics, and some 400 Dianetics sprung up overnight utilizing the Dianetics techniques,” said Ms. Skjelset. “Through Dianetics, people acquired for the first time answers and techniques to address nightmares, unexplained fears and anxieties, and learning how the period from conception to birth can be a major source of these troubles.”
Mr. Hubbard said in the Dianetics chapter, Preventative Dianetics, “A woman who is pregnant should be given every consideration by a society which has any feeling for its future generations.”
“Dianetics was a revelation in thought,” said Ms. Skjelset. “The idea that harm done to a pregnant woman can impact an unborn child had never been viewed before. It provides a tie to the importance of mothers and mothers to be.”
Mr. Hubbard continued his research and found solutions for problems encountered in everyday life. The chapter entitled “Children” from the Tools for Life Film is one such example. The chapter covers how to live with children, how to help a grieving child or a child who has awoken scared from a nightmare or is upset by seeing parents bickering.
The Scientology Information Center in Downtown Clearwater was established in July 2015 as a visitors Center for the Church of Scientology’s Spiritual headquarters providing answers to questions through audiovisual displays and panels covering Scientology and its beliefs. And in March 2018, the Scientology TV Network launched. The lineup with original shows that are engaging, informative and inspirational.
