Malaysian Ministry Witnesses Partnership Between FinTech School, UC Berkeley’s Sutardja Center and FinTech Lab
San Francisco, CA, May 22, 2019 --(PR.com)-- With the rapid growth of FinTech in Asia, the need for tech capacity building in the ASEAN countries has increased. Taking a cue from this, Malaysian government takes the opportunity to collaborate with organizations around the world to work together with Malaysia’s FinTech Lab and FinTech School to co-develop modules and training programs on FinTech, Blockchain and Industry 4.0.
On the 6th of April, 2019, FinTech School & Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (UC Berkeley) had the honor of having his Excellency, Mr. Darell Leiking, the Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) along with the key Ministry officials witness our tripartite partnership signing between UC Berkeley's Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, FinTech School and Malaysia's own FinTech Lab.
FinTech School sees this partnership as an opportunity to stimulate job creation and fuel Malaysia’s industrialization plan. The mission of FinTech School is to democratize access to financial services through technology, education, and policy in order to accelerate economies, and this partnership with FinTech Lab is a major milestone towards that.
"Through this tri-party agreement, we can have an impact in the entire ASEAN region to foster economic growth via job creation, banking the unbanked, and stimulating new industries to flourish," says Amilcar Chvarria, CEO - FinTech School.
Aiming to spur the flow of cutting edge knowledge from the Bay Area to initially Malaysia and eventually to the ASEAN region, FinTech Lab considers this as a knowledge bridge linking the two great institutions that represent the pinnacle of knowledge.
FinTech Lab states, "We feel very privileged to partner the University of California Berkeley (UC Berkeley), the number 1 ranked Public University and the 4th ranked university overall globally and FinTech School, the company that develops cutting edge FinTech knowledge modules via collaboration with the Silicon Valley’s FinTech entrepreneurs."
FinTech School sees this collaboration having a strategic impact on the up and coming technology eco-systems in Malaysia and within the ASEAN region. Do check out FinTech School, FinTech Lab, Sutardja Center for more.
