PHCPPros Principals Pass 5-Year Leadership Mark
Meet leaders who were passed the torch at Chicagoland family-owned small business.
Chicago, IL, June 17, 2019 --(PR.com)-- After more than 50 years in publishing, in 2013 Tom Brown turned the company he built, TMB Publishing, over to his successors. Plumbing Engineer, PHC News, and The Wholesaler magazines were turned over to the very capable hands of three employees.
Cate Brown, the daughter of Tom Brown and vice president of operations at the time, was named principal. Brad Burnside, vice president of sales for the East and Indiana and Western Michigan at the time, was named principal and publisher. And, Dave Schulte, vice president of sales for the Midwest, South and Eastern Canada at the time, was named principal and publisher.
Under new leadership, the company launched an array of digital marketing and advertising products, including social media, e-newsletters and website advertising. Additionally, in 2016 the company’s newest magazine, Especificar, was launched in Mexico to meet demand for a Spanish-language B2B trade publication dedicated to plumbing, energy and sustainability.
“From print to digital, our goal has always been to cover all publishing needs. We have a legacy of more than 30 years of trust built in the PHCP industry to live up to. I’m proud to say that today we are the leader in content innovation and audience engagement for the industry,” Burnside said.
Most recently, in 2017, TMB Publishing launched its rebrand as PHCPPros through a new website: phcppros.com. After the success of the website, the company continued to rebrand in 2018, synchronizing messaging and aesthetics across print, website, social media, and e-newsletters.
Today, PHCPPros reaches more than 100,000 readers in print and more than 250,000 readers online. Last year marked five years under PHCPPros’ new leadership. The leadership team is proud of its growth and excited to continue to innovate.
