KGS at SAPPHIRE NOW® 2019: U.S. SAP Market is Ready for New Archive Solutions
The archive specialist positions itself with American SAP user companies as an alternative to monolithic solutions offered by traditional ECM manufacturers.
Snellville, GA, May 26, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The world’s leading business technology event teams up with the largest customer-organized SAP conference: SAPPHIRE NOW and ASUG Annual Conference welcomed visitors in early May in Orlando, Florida. KGS Software GmbH’s participation in the twin event signaled the start of the company’s increased engagement on the U.S. market. KGS successfully showcased their solutions for intelligent archiving in Orlando, first and foremost the latest product KGS HawkEye, which connects SAP or any other application with a wide range of popular storage or cloud storage devices. The solution is being further refined under the catchphrase "Predictive Archiving Services" and will soon also offer functions such as "process automation" and "self-healing" for archiving systems.
KGS took advantage of their first participation in a U.S. trade show by networking, sounding out market opportunities and taking a close look at the U.S. SAP strategy. Another goal was to identify potential new partners. “Our solutions met with great interest from visitors,” says Winfried Althaus, Managing Director of the KGS Group. “Thanks to our participation, we were able to generate numerous leads and had lively discussions with customers, SAP executives, partners and experts across the entire SAP ecosystem.” The most important takeaway: There is a clear need for slim archive solutions as a trendsetting alternative to existing traditional ECM products and the solutions SAP will bring to this market. In order to optimally address these, KGS is planning on expanding their U.S. partner network and growing the U.S. KGS subsidiary.
SAP will focus their activities in the U.S. around S/4 HANA and "cloud first," which Hasso Plattner specifically confirmed in his keynote speech: “In the future, SAP will first develop cloud applications before making new products available as on-premises versions. Under the banner of ‘Experience the Intelligent Enterprise,’ the SAP co-founder and current Chairman of the Supervisory Board presented new offerings for SAP Hana Cloud Services and the SAP Cloud Platform. This includes areas such as SAP Data Warehouse Cloud, SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation, SAP Data Intelligence, updates for SAP Analytics Cloud and the collaboration between SAP Leonardo and Amazon Web Services in the context of IoT."
