WIN Warehouse Named Landmarks Association’s Most Enhanced 2019
St. Louis, MO, May 30, 2019 --(PR.com)-- On May 23, WIN Warehouse, a St. Louis-area nonprofit organization working for other local nonprofits, was selected as a winner for the Landmarks Association of St. Louis, Inc.’s 23rd annual Most Enhanced Awards for excellence in historic rehabilitation.
“WIN Warehouse is honored to receive this award from the Landmarks Association of St. Louis,” said Travis Laws, president of WIN Warehouse. “We knew that SPACE Architects + Designers + Builders would be able to create the perfect environment for our mission. Now, the many nonprofits we work with will be primed for success.”
In March 2019, WIN Warehouse held a grand reopening following the renovation of their North City headquarters to better serve their nonprofit members. SPACE Architects + Designers + Builders worked with WIN Warehouse on both the design and construction. Construction began in September 2018.
“We are proud to have been able to partner with this team,” said Jay Reeves, architect for SPACE. “WIN has been an excellent caretaker of this facility for nearly a decade. This recognition is a reflection of both the striking design and also the continued investment WIN’s leadership has made in maintaining this building in a thoughtful and deliberate fashion.”
SPACE offers their clients fully-integrated, turnkey design-build services, including architecture, interior design, construction management, custom fabrication, and graphic design.
Each May Landmarks presents a ceremony honoring St. Louis' 11 Most Enhanced Sites. Inaugurated in 1996, the list runs the gamut from those privately financed to those requiring every possible public resource. This year, the event was held at the beautifully restored Soldiers' Memorial downtown.
WIN’s renovations involved their warehouse space, as they felt a need for a more comfortable and inviting showroom. Offices and meeting rooms were expanded as well to accommodate a growing staff. Originally located in a dimly lit basement, the new office designs offer excitement and energy around the WIN mission for their members, staff and product.
